Kenta Nakagome played taiko in a local group since he was an elementary school student. He entered the Kodo Apprentice Centre in 2004 and became a Kodo member in 2007. On stage he predominantly plays taiko and shows his drumming prowess through drum solos, such as in Miyake and Yatai-bayashi. In 2011 he made his debut as the O-daiko soloist on Kodo's One Earth Tour 2011 throughout North America. His muscular body adorns the poster for Kodo One Earth Tour 2012: Legend, and he continues to shine as one of Kodo's upcoming young performers.
