Masami Miyazaki entered the Kodo Apprentice Centre in 1998 and became a Kodo member in 2001. She is featured mainly on the taiko, kokyu (Japanese violin) and in dance pieces. She is also an experienced taiko instructor featured in Kodo School Workshop Performances and taiko workshops where her extremely cheerful character immediately opens people’s hearts. She is often chosen for comical parts alongside male performers, but she also expresses her sensitive side through her kokyu playing.
