Tsuyoshi Maeda entered the Kodo Apprentice Centre in 2005 and became a Kodo member in 2008. He started playing taiko from the age of three and is said to have already been able to play all of the Kodo pieces when he entered the Kodo apprentice program. He stands out as a versatile performer who plays taiko drums, bamboo flute, koto harp, and also dances. He was selected for the Kodo Dadan cast in 2012 and is closely watched as one of Kodo's upcoming young performers.
